We set the fall so water moves away from your house, your pad, or your drive. We work the dirt until it is smooth and solid. You get ground that sheds water instead of holding it.
Uneven ground pools water and washes out. Low spots turn to mud. A bad grade near a house can send water where you do not want it. Grade fixes that.
We run a box blade and track machine to cut the highs and fill the lows. We work it in passes and check the fall as we go so it drains clean. Smooth and true.
